The main function of the thyroid is to produce hormones that control the heart rate, digestion, muscles, brain development, and metabolism. The two most common thyroid gland health problems are hypothyroidism, i.e. when the thyroid is underactive and hyperthyroidism when the gland is overactive.

The former happens when the thyroid doesn’t produce the needed amounts of hormones, especially the T3 and T4 hormones. This slows down the metabolism and causes problems such as tiredness, high blood pressure, depression, high levels of cholesterol, and weight gain. The latter occurs when the thyroid produces excessive amounts of these hormones, which leads to insomnia, weight loss, anxiety, and accelerated heart rate.

Overload of Toxins :

Over-proliferation of microscopic fungi in the air and food may overload the immunity. Normally, these fungi live on our skin and in other warm and moist areas. Mycosis is a condition characterized by excessive amount of these fungi. Another group of illnesses that happens when humans are overexposed to these fungi is mycotoxicosis. The severity of mycotoxins poisoning is conditioned by factors like vitamin deficiency, alcohol abuse, infectious disease, and caloric deprivation. Even though fungi are not destructive on their own, a weak immunity allows them to get out of control and this causes more problems with the immunity.
